Safe Harbor is serious about sustainability. We are certified “Sustainiable” by California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA) as well as approved for receiving and storing “organic” wines by the organization California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).
HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.
In a recent study of our ‘water to wine’ analysis, Safe Harbor blended, fermented, received, filtered and bottled over 20,000,000 gallons of wine with only 1,600,000 gallons of water. One of our primary ways of cutting water use is by UV light sterilization of tanks using Blue Morph technology sanitation systems.
